





The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Maa Samaleswari HSS of Science & Technology, Mahada Barpali. The ceremony began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Hon'ble Narendra Kumar Hota, in the presence of President Hon'ble Narayan Padhan, Secretary Hon'ble Mrutyunjaya Mishra, members of the Managing Committee, the Principal, faculty members, and students.
The celebration reflected deep patriotism, unity, and respect for the nation. Along with the flag-hoisting, a plantation drive was organized to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to contribute towards a greener future. The event provided a meaningful opportunity for everyone to reflect on the significance of independence and honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
MAA SAMALESWARI HSS (College) OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, Mahada, Barpali, observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August 2025 to promote a safe and supportive campus environment. Throughout the week, students were sensitized about the ill-effects of ragging, legal provisions, and the importance of mutual respect and discipline.
The concluding session was held on 18th August 2025, attended by dignitaries, faculty members, and student representatives. The Principal, Mr. Manoj Kumar Kara, along with senior lecturers, addressed the gathering and emphasized the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. Awareness talks, pledge-taking, and interactive discussions encouraged students to uphold a culture of safety, kindness, and responsibility on campus.
